Ultrasound Technologist

Job Description

Regular, Full-Time position at the McAlester Radiology Clinic. This position would strictly be tasked with completing all Ultrasound and Sonography needs for the clinic | Schedule: Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm | Starting Pay: Hourly, Between $30-$35 per hour (potential for more, dependent upon experience)

Weekly earned wage access is an option for this position 

Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Advanced Modality Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures in a minimum of one advanced modality on adult and pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders. You will report to department leadership. 

Primary Tasks

  • You will identify, record and adapt procedures to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information and image acquisition and image quality.
  • Perform sonographic exam and interpret normal and pathological findings.
  • Provide and communicate analysis and interpretation of the patient's physical and clinical findings and technical expertise in performance of the examination.
  • Create work schedules that provide a minimum of appointment wait time.
  • You will obtain educational training, and personal confidence related to program clinical coordinator activities for ultrasound students in didactic and clinical rotation.
  • Provide continued education, training and oversight for staff technologists thus providing depth within the department.
  • Institute scanning protocols and guidelines to fit the needs of the patient, provider staff, radiologist, and machine capability
  • Design and institute scanning protocols and guidelines to fit the needs of the patient, provider staff, radiologist, and machine capability.
  • Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Associate degree
  • ARRT certification or;
  • ARDMS certification in specific modality
  • General knowledge of respective advanced modality
  • Certification in Post Primary Registry within 18 months of employment
  • One [1] year of directly related experience
