Choctaw Proud

Compassion, gratitude, hard work, resilience, respect. These are just a few of the many strengths you’ll find in a person who embodies the Chahta spirit. Living out the Chahta spirit means contributing to something larger than yourself. It means being thankful for the blessings in life, as well as being willing to work through life's challenges.

Partnerships

Because we are a sovereign nation, we have developed many partnerships with local, state and federal programs. Our leaders work closely with legislators and policymakers to ensure that the voices of Choctaw Nation tribal members, associates and community partners are represented well at all levels of government. Our work doesn’t stop there, however. We also team up with businesses and city officials to support the local economy and improve the quality of life for all people living in Southeastern Oklahoma. Small business support, infrastructure projects and community improvement ventures are just a few examples of the positive impact the Choctaw Nation has on the area.

Economic Impact

The Choctaw Nation is a significant contributor to Oklahoma's economy in various ways. Not only are we one of the largest employers in the state, but we also operate a wide range of businesses and even make direct contributions to the state's budget. In total, the Tribe's economic impact is in the billions of dollars.
