Technical Support Engineer 1 (Commerce IT)
Job Description
Full Time| 100% onsite| Tuesday-Saturday 8:00AM-4:30PM| This position will require you to be on an On Call Rotation.
Weekly Earned Wage Access is an option for this position.
Job Purpose or Objective(s): Technical Support Engineer I’s job is to provide advanced technical support for all technology-related operations, contributing to the success of the organization’s goals and strategic objectives. The Technical Support Engineer I will offer comprehensive technical assistance, which includes managing, maintaining, and optimizing critical functional areas, such as applications, tools, and hardware resources.
Primary Tasks
- Deploy applications, patches, and updates to the Choctaw Nation desktop environment.
- Maintain and deploy PowerShell scripts to supplement packaging and other support tools as required.
- Maintain knowledge bases and FAQ resources on the file server to aid in problem resolution.
- Troubleshoot production support issues post deployment.
- Provide support to Technical Support Specialists to help them serve the End-User community more proficiently.
- Modify configurations, utilities, and software default settings for VDI.
- Modify configuration, utilities, and maintain Print roaming services and Single sign on software.
- Create, test, and deploy software packages through EPM and Group policy.
- Other duties as may be assigned by management.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent working experience or 4 years related experience.
- Experience in Windows, Linux, and virtualization environments such as VMWare
- Experience in desktop and server operating systems, including Windows 7/10, Server 2008/2012
- Experience with PowerShell, VBScript, and batch scripting languages
- Experience creating custom scripts to lead installs, uninstalls, custom actions and system management.
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environment.
- 4 years related work experience.
