Table Games Pit Manager
Job Description
Job Purpose or Objective(s): Responsible for the overall supervision of multiple table games within an assigned shift. Directly responsible for maintaining positive customer interactions, protecting the Casino through personal surveillance of on-going table play, and interaction with security and surveillance as needed.
Primary Tasks
- Adhere to all aspects of the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Program and related regulations, including Title 31, Suspicious Activity Reporting, and Customer Identification.
- Support the Shift Manager with the execution of gaming operations, including table limits, high-limit play, player ratings, and departmental performance.
- Directly oversee Floor Supervisors and Dealers, maintain dealer table assignments and rotations, and ensure adherence to casino policies and procedures.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
- Plan, assign, and direct work; contribute to performance appraisals; and support disciplinary actions and employee recognition in line with casino policies.
- Mentor and develop Floor Supervisors and other staff through coaching, feedback, and leadership by example to strengthen operational oversight.
- Uphold departmental and resort-wide service, conduct, and operational standards on the casino floor.
- Execute employee evaluations, disciplinary actions, and performance management in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Stay proficient in Table Games systems (e.g., player tracking, rating, scheduling, reporting, yielding TANGAM) and ensure team members are adequately trained.
- Resolve guest issues professionally in line with service standards and perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements
- Must be knowledgeable in the games they supervise and know the requirements of the positions (dealers).
- Must possess expert knowledge in advantage play and cheat tactics used on a variety of table games.
- Possess good working knowledge and understanding of Table Games policies and procedures.
- Excellent oral or written (legible) communication techniques.
- Prior dealer experience required.
