Surveillance Technician (Surveillance Technology)
Job Description
Job Purpose or Objective: Responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and technical support of enterprise-level video surveillance systems and access control infrastructure across Choctaw Nation Casino facilities.
Starting Pay Rate: $23.35 per hour
Work Schedule: Full Time, Monday-Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
Work Location: Onsite in Durant, OK
This position requires you to be on call 24/7, it typically is a rotating on call schedule (1 week every two months).
You must be able to pass an extensive background check.
Wage access is an option for this position.
Primary Tasks
- Executes basic surveillance work orders under supervision, performing routine installation and maintenance tasks for Choctaw Casinos and other Choctaw Nation entities.
- Performs basic configuration of IP-based video surveillance systems including VMS platforms, NVR/DVR systems, and IP camera networks
- Executes structured cabling installation and terminations (Cat5e/6, fiber optic, coaxial)
- Conducts basic equipment installation for access control systems (card readers, controllers)
- Performs routine preventive maintenance on surveillance infrastructure
- Troubleshoots basic network connectivity and hardware issues
- Maintains basic system documentation and equipment inventory records
- Follows MICS/TICS requirements under supervision
- Travels within Choctaw Nation to complete assigned tasks under supervision
- Perform other duties as may be assigned
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts
- Familiarity with CCTV and access control systems
- Physical requirements: Ability to lift 50lbs, work in confined spaces, operate lift equipment at 30+ feet
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel within tribal jurisdiction
- Two (2) years of surveillance, security, low voltage, or related experience
