Service Coordinator- Housing Authority

Job Purpose or Objective(s): Provide counseling and education to Native American families increasing their financial stability so they can achieve homeownership. You will report to the Service Coordination Director.

Location: Durant

Schedule: Regular/Full-Time – Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

Wage access is an option for this position.

We are only accepting applicants that work in the Housing Authority department at this time

 

 Primary Tasks:

1. You will coordinate the delivery of services including counseling services of homebuyer education, budget, credit, pre and post purchase, and delinquency counseling to ensure services are provided on a regular, ongoing, and satisfactory basis.

2. Report on the progress of residents enrolled in the program and homebuyer counseling status for HUD reporting.

3. Assess participant needs and adapt individual service plan to help the participant move towards greater financial independence.

4. You will prepare curriculum and instruct the homebuyer education workshops.

5. Provide general case management which includes intake, assessment, education, and referral of residents to service providers in the local community.

6. Monitor the provision and track the ongoing provision of services including supportive services from community agencies.

7. Work with Community, Tribal, and Housing staff on referrals and participation.

8. Evaluate the success of the program.

9. Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in education or in related field, or 4 years directly related experience.

· Homebuyer Education Certification within 6 months of hire

· Advanced knowledge of money management/credit management

· Advanced user of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point

· Ability to work on projects in a detail-oriented, organized, and efficient manner while also working collaboratively in a team environment.

· 2 years’ experience with Tribal Services and Social Work
