Shift: Dayshift 7:00am- 3:00pm

Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Tribal Security Sergeant will help protect all property of Choctaw Casinos and for ensuring procedures are followed as applicable to ensure safety and security. You will report to the Security Manager.
Primary Tasks:
1. You will train and oversee subordinate personnel.
2. Maintain a logbook of all activity occurring daily.
3. Write incident reports regarding all security issues, accidents, theft, or vandalism and submit to the Security Supervisor.
4. Be involved in customer and employee related issues due to an impending or obvious threat and volatile situation.
5. You will handle security issues
6. Ensure that all Officers are following procedures and conducting themselves.
7. Follow and enforces established procedures of the Choctaw Nation, Choctaw Casinos, and local management.
8. Make certain all required reports are filled out completely, promptly.
9. Help to identify and correct performance issues.
10. Perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
· High School Diploma or GED
· Completion of security training and firearms
· Ability to qualify yearly with department firearms
· Basic computer skills to compose reports or correspondence
· Ability to use law enforcement communication, law enforcement software and equipment
· Will perform and pass a Physical Fitness test
· Have supervisory skills and training
· Ability to reason logically and make sound decisions.
· Ability to work effectively and efficiently in high stress and conflict situations.
· Ability to exercise independent judgment and make logical decisions.
· 1 year of prior experience as a Security Officer
