Retail Shift Supervisor – Travel Plaza West

Job Description

Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Retail Shift Supervisor maintains the highest priority of Guest Service Standards by assisting with merchandising, sales, and maintaining all CNO Retail Standards. This position is responsible for efficient, safe, and effective operations by assisting with coaching and training new associates. You will report to the General Manager. 

Location: Durant

Pay: $16.50/hr

Schedule: Regular/Full-Time, 9pm-5am Flexible Schedule

Primary Tasks

  • Coach and train Guest Services Standards and assist with all guests’ needs, respond to questions, resolve issues, offer sales suggestions, and ensure all purchases are tendered properly into the register system.
  • Oversee compliance with state and federal laws and CNO policy including the sale of alcohol and tobacco products; check identification when required by transaction.
  • Perform merchandising duties including making shelf labels, ordering, stocking, maintaining appropriate levels for deli sales, upkeep of service area and sales floor.
  • Supervise the work of all hourly team members. Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Complete Operations Checklist and work with associates to maintain CNO Retail Standard’s by performing duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and cleaning of both the interior and exterior.
  • Maintain Beginning and Ending shift cash handling SOP procedures. Report discrepancies to General Manager.
  • Coordinate cleanliness and maintenance needs. This includes all store equipment and fixtures as well as displays, floors, ceilings, and décor. Responsible for controlling, safeguarding, and monitoring all store assets, ensuring policies and procedures are implemented for control of assets.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to perform all physical aspects of the position, including but not limited to bending, lifting, standing, pulling, pushing, and walking.
  • Technical skills to perform basic math and computer tasks
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Suit – Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
  • Acquire and maintain the following licenses: UST Operator Class C, Food Handler Certification, Forklift Operator Certification and Oklahoma Able License
  • One (1) year prior retail operations experience
