Job Description
Job Summary: The Multi-Specialty Float RN provides flexible nursing support across multiple clinic specialties to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality patient care. You will address staffing variability and patient acuity demands while supporting continuity of care, operational efficiency, and positive patient outcomes. You will report to the Manager.

Primary Tasks
- Provide direct patient assessment, planning, and delivery of individualized patient care, including regular evaluation of patient condition, response to treatment, and documentation of progress and observations.
- Formulate, implement, and update individualized care plans based on patient response, effectiveness of interventions, and changing clinical conditions.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition, including communication with physicians and appropriate clinical interventions.
- Administer medications, blood, and solutions in accordance with medical and surgical policies, protocols, and provider orders.
- Function across multiple clinical departments with proficiency and required certifications, including Family Practice, Pediatrics, Specialty Clinics, Psychiatry, and Pre-op/Post-op for Operating Room (if applicable), providing cross-specialty nursing support.
- Demonstrate competency in advanced life-saving procedures, including responding to Code Rapids within the clinic setting.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care planning and discharge needs, addressing psychosocial needs of patients and families and providing pain management assessment and education.
- Participate in performance improvement activities and perform all duties of a Staff RN with additional responsibilities related to cross-specialty support and advanced interventions.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Job Requirements
- Associate degree in nursing
- Current RN licensure with the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or Multi-Stare RN License
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS
- PALS certification or within 90 days
- Documented cross training in all required clinical areas within 6 months
