Human Resources Supervisor – Food and Beverage

Job Description

Job Purpose or Objective(s): You will assist the Human Resources Manager in the operation of your team’s HR Department with the purpose of maintaining an organized human resource function.  Be a consultant to management on human resource-related issues and create partnerships across the HR team to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects our goals of the organization. You will report to the HR Regional Manager.

This position will be located at the Durant Casino

Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm

Primary Tasks

  • You will work with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Work with Employee Relations team for more advanced issues.
  • Provide performance management guidance to managers/supervisors (disciplinary actions, career development, training suggestions).
  • Participate in leadership team meetings to assess challenges and opportunities to maximize human resources capabilities, development and preparedness. Develop and implement these solutions.
  • You will coach management on organizational change dynamics including minimizing transition downturns and increasing trust in leadership during periods of change.
  • Conduct/attend regular meetings with assigned areas.
  • Provide guidance and input on HR policy, department restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  • Develop, implement, and train staff on personnel procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to departmental procedures. Mentor and trains support staff.
  • Perform other tasks as may be assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related field or 4 years related experience.
  • Ability to obtain professional certifications including PHR, SPHR
  • Ability to obtain Tribal professional certification
  • Computer experience, with knowledge of several software programs and spreadsheet applications
  • Intermediate knowledge of Federal and State laws and regulations
  • Intermediate knowledge of industry standards in employment law and workplace conduct
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work with intermediate guidance
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and is responsive and persuasive at all levels
  • Three (3) years’ experience in HR-related role
