Groundskeeper II – Durant Casino and Resort
Job Description
This position is open to current Landscaping associates only.
Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Groundskeeper 2 is responsible for maintaining the appearance of the grounds of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma properties using skilled operation of various lawn equipment. You will report to the Grounds Supervisor or Manager.
Primary Tasks
- Skilled operation of various lawn equipment such as mowers, blowers, hedge trimmers, edgers, etc.
- Maintaining lawns and landscaping by mowing, mulching, aerating, weeding, trimming, edging, and planting.
- Using hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, and hedge trimmers in a safe manner.
- Tree, shrub, and hedge care using shears, pruners, or chain saws.
- Planting flowering plants, bulbs, grass, ground covers, trees, and shrubs.
- Irrigation system monitoring, adjusting, and operating.
- Ensuring that work areas are clean and organized.
- May perform lawn equipment maintenance and general repairs.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Job Requirements
- Valid Driver's License
- Read and follow written or oral directions for tasks
- Understand government public health regulations, as needed
- Understand and follow safety standards related to performance of the job
- Experience in lawn equipment maintenance and repairs
- Two [2] years of commercial groundskeeping or landscape experience
