Full-Time | Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00AM – 3:30PM Off Saturday & Sunday) | Pay: $21.76 Hourly

Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Grounds Technician performs advanced and technical grounds maintenance duties to support the health, appearance, and sustainability of Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma properties.
Primary Tasks
- Perform grounds maintenance, including care of flowers, shrubs, ornamentals, and minor tree work.
- Install, test, adjust, and repair irrigation systems; monitor watering schedules.
- Apply chemical treatments to turf and landscaped areas, including herbicides and fertilizers, in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Perform skilled operation and maintenance of various lawn equipment such as mowers, blowers, hedge trimmers, and edgers.
- Perform routine maintenance such as weeding, pruning, mulching, and debris removal.
- Complete seasonal planting and assist with new landscape installations.
- Monitor plant and soil conditions; identify and address issues related to water, nutrients, pests, and disease.
- Identify irrigation and landscape issues and recommend solutions.
- Maintain records related to chemical applications and irrigation systems as required.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Job Requirements
- Valid Driver's License
- Knowledge of plant material and general horticultural practices such as planting and proper pruning
- Read and follow written or oral directions for tasks
- Understand government public health regulations, as needed
- Understand and follow safety standards related to performance of the job
- Experience in lawn equipment maintenance and repairs
- Three [3] years of commercial groundskeeping or landscape experience
