Gaming Commission Licensing Coordinator

Job Description

Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Licensing Coordinator performs specialized administrative duties in support of the gaming licensing process. This role ensures compliance with federal, tribal, and regulatory guidelines by processing, maintaining, and securing sensitive applicant and licensee information. The position demands a high level of confidentiality, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Primary Tasks

  • Guide applicants through the licensing process by determining the appropriate application, ensuring accurate completion of such application and conducting proper intake procedures.
  • Collect fingerprints and submit them to the FBI for background clearance in accordance with federal gaming regulations.
  • File, track, and manage confidential information while adhering to all privacy and compliance standards.
  • Assist with gathering and preparing documentation needed for background and communicating with Licensing Investigators and applicants as needed.
  • Issue and distribute gaming licenses to approved applicants and coordinate renewals, reinstatements, or replacements.
  • Handle daily office duties such as scanning, data entry, preparing correspondence, and maintaining documentation systems.
  • Communicate with internal departments to support onboarding, compliance, and efficient coordination of licensing matters.
  • Ensure files are up-to-date and ready for internal or external reviews and audits.
  • Take on additional projects and support the Licensing Manager as needed to maintain a highly functioning, compliant office.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1-2 years of related experience
  • Must have working knowledge in MS Word, Excel and the Internet
  • Good verbal and written communication skills required
  • Must be able to multi-task and a fast learner in order operate various office equipment
  • Must obtain a key gaming license
