Job Purpose or Objective(s): Responsible for the leading and development of operations for the Environmental Services department. Responsibilities include: Manage the Environmental Services Program to maintain the highest possible standards and good public relations with all guests and associates. Manage the hiring, evaluation and disciplining of Environmental Services staff. Prepare work schedules and maintain staffing levels. Inspect cleanliness of facilities, sanitation and infection prevention: takes corrective action. Provide supportive leadership: a feeling of trust, security and satisfaction through demonstrations of competence and willingness to serve. Develop a stable competent team and encourage growth of personnel through periodic evaluation and review. You will report to the Environmental Services Manager 2 / Facilities Manager.

Primary Tasks

  • You will manage associates to include hiring, terminating, scheduling, performance management, training, and auditing/inspecting work of team members to ensure standards are met.
  • Ensure that all associates are trained in their respective positions and that all training and certification materials are up to date and maintained.
  • Responsible for inventory/security of supplies. Ensure reports have tools and equipment needed to perform their respective job tasks.
  • Review invoices to ensure accurate pricing and items received.
  • You will develop methods, processes, staffing to forecast/fulfill demand.
  • Implement corrective/preventative actions.
  • Develop budget for department and work within budget guidelines.
  • Immediately resolve customer/associate/management concerns.
  • Deliver positive guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors and fellow associates.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be willing to perform job tasks of team members (except technical positions).
  • Computer skills to include Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), Word, Outlook, and Internet.
  • Verbal and written correspondence skills within all levels. Working knowledge of OSHA and safety standards. Demonstrate attention to the achievement of high standards and to changing client demands.
  • 1 or more years prior management experience.
