Full-Time | Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM | Pay Rate: $23.35 Hourly

Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Environmental Services Shift Manager is responsible for the daily supervision, coordination, and performance management of Environmental Services (EVS) and Deep Clean associates. This position supports government, healthcare, and commercial facilities by ensuring assigned areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition in accordance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and established cleaning and infection prevention standards.

 

Primary Tasks

  • Supervise and coordinate Environmental Services and Deep Clean associates to ensure all assigned facility areas are cleaned and maintained according to established standards.
  • Assign daily work activities, develop schedules, and monitor staffing levels to ensure operational needs and service expectations are met.
  • Conduct and document routine inspections to verify cleanliness, safety, and compliance with established standards. Oversee compliance with healthcare and government cleaning standards and infection-control practices.
  • Train, coach, and evaluate associates on cleaning procedures, equipment use, safety practices, and infection prevention protocols.
  • Manage associate performance by providing guidance, conducting evaluations, and recommending personnel actions in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, equipment, and personal protective equipment to ensure adequate availability and proper use.
  • Maintain and monitor the work order system to ensure service requests are submitted accurately, tracked appropriately, and completed in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to inspections, inventory, staffing assignments, and operational activities.
  • Respond promptly to sanitation, safety, or facility-related concerns and resolve guest, patient, associate, or management issues in a professional manner.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Computer skills to include Excel, Word, Outlook, and Internet
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Understand government public health and, or safety regulations/requirements
  • Understanding of Joint Commission, infection prevention and safety standards
  • Ability and willingness to perform the essential job functions of supervised staff positions, excluding technical roles
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team
  • Two (2) years prior maintenance, housekeeping, or facilities-related experience. Supervisory experience preferred.
