Counselor (Master’s) License Certified Career Development Program
Job Description
This position is open to current Career Development associates only.
Job Purpose or Objective(s): Provide a comprehensive array of career guidance and employment services to tribal members. You will report to the Senior Director of Career Development.
Primary Tasks:

Provide occupational information, guidance services, individual and group counseling for planning and development of career and education plans.

Conduct and compile annual follow up studies and organizational reports.

Disseminate information about career and technology education programs.

Counsel clients in matters related to career and technology education.

Coordinate the selection of career guidance materials and assist with job placement activities for program participants.

Develop and implement marketing plans for the Career Development Program.

Coordinate career guidance activities with the State Department of Career and Technology Education and area career and technology education providers.

Advise clients on financial options and aid with applications for assistance and admission applications.

Performs other duties as may be assigned.

Job Requirements
- Masters’ degree in guidance counseling or career and technology education related field
- Valid counseling license and teaching credential
- Strong working knowledge of available financial aid for student training and education
- Discreet handling of confidential information
- Exemplary knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Knowledge of counseling procedures, student appraisal and career development
- Proven ability to market to tribal members and develop vendor relationships
- Five [5] years of related experience
