Description – Internal Only Poker Dealer Training Class. Open only to current Choctaw Nation Employees
This course is designed to generate proficient Poker Dealers for Durant Casino and Resort.
Job Purpose or Objective(s): Selected applicants will attend a course providing education and hands-on training to deal No-limit Texas Hold’ em, Omaha, and limit poker.
Prior to class start, Table Games Training will evaluate each applicant via interview.
This training course is voluntary; training time is unpaid. Each internal applicant will be required to maintain good standing within their current department throughout the entirety of the course.
Applicants must maintain the following eligibility requirements for the entirety of the course:

Currently employed in good standing with CNO at Durant Casino & Resort

3 attendance points or less

No current Final Written Disciplines

Able to pass screening for Key Gaming License

Must be able to attend training

Must be able to meet all employment requirements for the Table Games Department
Average Poker Dealer Pay: $6/hour base + $25 to $35 average hourly toke (tip) rate.
Performance Expectations:

Selected applicants will learn how to deal the listed games.

Each student is required to successfully complete written and physical testing to complete the course.

Written and physical testing will occur throughout the course. Each student will have two attempts to pass each test.

To maintain enrollment / employment, students are required to attend class, pass all written testing and physical testing and maintain all eligibility requirements.

After successful completion of the course, available dealer schedules will be assigned. Most schedules offered are PRN (as needed).

Students must attend every class.
Primary Tasks
- Deals poker while answering customer or public inquiries regarding general gaming procedures, payouts, etc.
- Verify identification of customers when needed.
- Work in assigned areas.
- Accurate use of computers to enter, access, or retrieve data.
- Keep accurate records of monetary exchanges, authorization forms, and transaction reconciliations.
- Maintain integrity of the game.
- Notify Supervisor immediately and discreetly of suspicious activity.
- Other duties as may be assigned.
Job Requirements
- Experience in handling cash preferred
- Apply basic math (arithmetic, ratios, proportions, or conversions)
- Apply oral or written communication techniques
- Prior experience in direct customer service
