Casino Maintenance Worker 2

Start Rate: $19.30/hour | Full-Time | Must be internal to the Maintenance Department

Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Maintenance 2 will perform preventative and predictive maintenance and troubleshoot utility systems which may include HVAC, lighting, refrigeration, electrical, air, water, or other equipment. The responsibility of this position is to ensure functionality of facilities as not to effect operations and revenue. You will report to the Maintenance Manager/Supervisor.

 Primary Tasks:

1. You will perform manual labor and semi-experienced work in the maintenance of building facilities, hotel and grounds which include construction and repair of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and finishes.

2. Help train  associates of maintenance and organizational practices.

3. You will repair and resolve immediate operational and safety concerns and report any unsafe maintenance conditions to Management.

4. Work under the supervision of experienced maintenance staff (Kitchen Tech, Plumber, Electrician), may perform tasks in area(s) of expertise to complete work orders in the maintenance and improvement of facilities.

5. You will ensure a safe work environment is maintained through adherence to safety policies.

6. Clean and maintain maintenance equipment and work areas.

7. Complete work orders using the work order tracking system.

8. Respond to all emergency situations regarding facilities and maintenance including fire alarms and power failures.

9. Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

· Working knowledge of all aspects of maintenance, and service; and take appropriate action.

· Knowledge of the standard principles, methods, practices, techniques, tools, and equipment used in the maintenance of building structures, machinery, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment fixtures.

· Knowledge of electrical and HVAC equipment to assist electricians or HVAC techs in performing repairs on new and used equipment.

· Two (2) years of hands-on general maintenance experience maintaining building facilities and grounds, repair of structures, machinery, plumbing, electrical wiring and fixtures.
