Job Summary: This Environmental Services Manager 2 is responsible for the overall management of the Environmental Services (EVS)/Deep Clean Department. You will manage the department within the established objectives, standards, policies and procedures while fostering strong interdepartmental relations and integrate the environmental service department with the facility plan of operations.
Primary Tasks
- Manage department associates, including hiring, termination, scheduling, training, performance management, and regular audits of work to ensure standards are met. Work closely with HR Business Partners to address employee concerns and resolve issues.
- Provide leadership and operational analysis for asset replacement, facility remodels, and equipment upgrade planning.
- Monitor the work order system, inventory, and supply levels to ensure information is accurate and up to date.
- Review invoices to verify pricing accuracy and confirm all items were received as ordered.
- Implement and enforce department procedures, policies, and safety practices.
- Develop staffing plans, methods, and processes to forecast workload and meet operational demand.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions for direct reports when needed.
- Develop and manage the department budget within approved guidelines.
- Address and resolve customer, associate, and management concerns related to EVS and Deep Clean operations in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior general maintenance experience helpful
- Understand government public health and, or safety regulations/ requirements
- Ability to manage budgets, review operational data, and control inventory
- Ability to use scheduling systems and basic computer applications
- Be willing/able to perform job tasks of subordinates (except technical positions)
- Three (3) years prior supervisory experience.
