Casino Audio Visual Production Manager

Job Description

Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Audio/Visual Manager will be the primary liaison between the client and staff of the property for executing the technical aspects of events with complex technology requirements.  The AVM will help develop the production of the event and will coordinate the physical resources, technology and other support staff for the event, to make it a reality. You will report to the Catering & Conference Services Ops Manager.

Primary Tasks

  • You will coordinate all technical and artist related details for entertainment headliners, productions, events, and shows; renovations, conventions and special events.
  • Direct Audio/Video team in event execution including call cues, lighting, sound, video, recording, and set changes.
  • You will direct Audio/Video team in the set-up of audio and video technical equipment to include microphone, speakers, video screens, projects, video monitors, recording equipment, sound and mixing boards, and basic lighting at presentations and live entertainment venues.
  • Ensure that proper technician scheduling is met to achieve the most efficient operations.
  • You will manage changes during events and communicate them with all affected staff.
  • Make suggestions on future purchasing and necessary upgrades of equipment; remain current on industry trends.
  • You will establish vendor relations for all production-related requirements that cannot be fulfilled using in-house capabilities.
  • Responsible for ongoing coaching of staff and performance management feedback.
  • You will manage overall quality of productions to ensure the best total guest experience.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Associate degree or 2 years directly related experience
  • Technical background.
  • Working knowledge of PC computer software programs
  • Technical knowledge of audio equipment and applications.
  • Five (5) years AV experience with an understanding of integrated audio, video control systems.
