Case Manager-Homeowners Rehabilitation Services-Hugo

Full-Time | Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

Job Purpose or Objective(s): Responsible for determining eligibility for Homeowners Services and identifying the appropriate funding source for service requests to ensure the tribal members home repair needs are met. You will report to the Assistant Director of HRS.

 Primary Tasks:

1.       You will schedule emergency, high priority and substantial rehabilitation repairs for Choctaw Homeowners through work orders, acting following current procedures and ensuring all local, state and federal laws are followed.

2.       Process emergency and high priority work orders to maintain decent, safe and sanitary properties set forth by HUD regulations.

3.       Conduct environmental assessments and Davis Bacon wage compliance tasks.

4.       Responsible for managing, documenting and tracking expenditures for multiple services and funding budgets for assigned districts.

5.       You will provide weekly, quarterly and annual reports requested by Assistant Director

6.       Process vendor invoices in organized manner to provide prompt payment to vendors.

7.       Observe and assess member and household needs through site visits and reports.

8.       Refer members to the Housing’s Service Coordination department for individualized services offered to guide and assists in homeowner success.

9.       Manage time in Kronos and measure performance of clerks to ensure the proper policy and procedures are being complied with.

10.   Perform other tasks as may be assigned.

Requirements:

·         Ability to obtain Housing Quality Standards certification

·         Willing to attend Choctaw University to obtain Intro to Business certification

·         Ability to work with internal and external associates, vendors, and Tribal Members cordially.

·         Excellent verbal and written skills

·         Knowledge of federal and state housing regulations

·         Intermediate user of Microsoft Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), Word, Outlook and PowerPoint

·         4 years’ experience providing Housing services.
