Job Description
Part Time | Pay: $ 7.50 Hourly + Tips (3 Month Tip Average + Base Rate = $41.00 Hourly) | Schedule: 4:00pm-12:30am Sunday & Monday, 6:00pm-2:30am Friday & Saturday (OFF Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
Weekly Earned Wage Access is an option for this position.
Job Purpose or Objective(s): The bartender prepares and serves cocktails and other beverages to guests or prepares for wait staff to provide a positive customer experience. You will ensure customers meet age requirements for the purchase of alcohol. You will report to the Beverage Manager.
Primary Tasks
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and creativity.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring health and safety standards are met.
- Engage with guests, offering recommendations and creating a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere.
- Alternate guest service with fellow bartenders, ensuring fair distribution of work.
- Manage cash transactions accurately and efficiently, with at least 2 years of cash handling experience.
- Monitor guest consumption and promote responsible drinking, offering breaks when needed.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and techniques in mixology and bartending.
- Assist in inventory management and ensure an adequate supply of bar stock.
- Uphold the brand image and values of Trophys McAlester through excellent service.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of bartending experience, with a proven track record of success.
- Valid Oklahoma Alcoholic Beverage Laws Enforcement (ABLE) license or the ability to obtain one.
- Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and accounting.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- A passion for mixology and a desire to create unique drink experiences.
