Description
This position is a temporary 8-week assignment from 5/24/2021 through 7/16/2021.
Job Purpose or Objective(s): Responsible for several operational components for the GATHER Food Sovereignty Grant Program, aimed at increasing access to health/fresh foods in addition to increasing awareness of and involvement with where food comes from.
Primary Tasks:
Contributes to Choctaw Nation Health Services Authority’s objectives by completing specific work assignments dependent on the intern’s best career and coursework fit and organizational needs.
Assists in the development of marketing campaigns, multimedia projects, stories, and other content for distribution.
Proofread content and correct mistakes in grammar, spelling, or factual content.
Conduct research and interviews as needed to develop program communications.
Create graphic assets to be used by the program.
Other duties as assigned within scope and competency of the associate.
Required Education, Skills and Experience:
MINIMUM
Active student with major in Nutrition, Biology, Media/Public relations, Marketing or related undergraduate degree program with career aspirations in the Nutrition field.
Ability to obtain a Food Handlers Safety Certification
Must have a valid Driver’s License
Choctaw CDIB or Choctaw member status.
Must be currently attending an accredited college, university, or postsecondary educational institution.
Must be available to work 40 hour per week eight consecutive weeks.
Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5; 3.0 GPA or greater preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written on a technical level.
Ability to lift 20lb or more
Ability to handle multiple tasks, work independently or in a group and manage priorities.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
