Certified Nurse Assistant (COVID-19 Test & Trace) (Full-time/Temporary)

Temporary position

Job Purpose or Objective(s): Assist with admission, discharge, and nursing care duties to ensure the patient receives the highest level of heath care service.

Primary Tasks:

  1. Assist the RN/LPN with nursing diagnoses by keeping them informed of observed, symptoms, reactions, changes in conditions of patients and other pertinent observations and information regarding patients related to current nursing diagnoses.

  2. Assist by observing the physiological health status of the patients during admission and throughout the visit and communicating information to the nursing staff.

  3. Communicates with and develop rapport with patients and families to ensure they are comfortable, and that their needs are being met.

  4. Assist with plan of care based on the patient’s problems/needs as identified by the RN on admission.

  5. Contribute to the organizational effectiveness and efficiency by participating in quality assessment and improvement activities.

  6. Other duties as assigned within scope and competency of the associate.

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

MINIMUM

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Current CNA certification with the State of Oklahoma

  • Current CPR certification

  • Basic understanding of medical terminology

  • Knowledge of potential complications that may occur on the unit, of the principle and techniques of asepsis and infection control

  • Ability to recognize and react to emergency situations

  • Knowledge of care standards and nursing policies and procedures

  • Basic computer and typing skills

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

  • Ability to use discretion and protect confidentiality of the patient

  • Knowledge of HIPPA and the importance of confidentiality

TARGET

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Current CNA certification with the State of Oklahoma

  • Current CPR certification

  • Basic understanding of medical terminology

  • Three (3) years medical filed experience
