Technical Support Engineer 1 - Commerce

Description

Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Technical Support Engineer’s role is to provide high level support for all Hospitality operations with a focus on the Agilysys Lodging Management System (LMS) so that our end users can accomplish organizational goals more efficiently and provide guests with an optimal experience. This includes configuring IT support tools used within the organization and assessing known problems to provide long term solutions to increase effectiveness of our support teams.

Primary Tasks:

  1. Deploy applications, patches, and updates to the Choctaw Nation Hospitality environments.

  2. Maintain and deploy Hospitality related hardware (including Front Desk Workstations, printers, key encoders and credit card pinpads) and software as required, this will require servicing hardware in the field occasionally.

  3. Maintain knowledge bases and FAQ resources on the file server to aid in problem resolution.

  4. Provide support to key Business Units to help them serve the End-User community more proficiently.

  5. Modify configurations, utilities, and software default settings for multiple LMS instances and related interfaces and servers.

  6. Create, test, and deploy software packages utilizing manual or scripted processes.

  7. Other duties as may be assigned by management.

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

MINIMUM

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent working experience

  • Experience in Windows, Linux, and virtualization environments such as VMWare

  • Experience in Property Management Systems, LMS is a plus

  • Experience deploying and maintaining P2PE pinpads and operating in a PCI compliant environment

  • Experience with supporting workstations in a guest facing environment, supporting key encoders for hotel lock systems, and supporting interfaces with external vendors like Delphi and Site Minder.

  • Ability to troubleshoot Packaging, Deployment, and System issues.

  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environment

  • 2 years related work experience

TARGET

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent working experience

  • Advanced experience in Windows, Linux, and virtualization environments such as VMWare

  • Experience in the Agilysys Lodging Management System

  • Advanced experience deploying and maintaining P2PE pinpads and operating in a PCI compliant environment

  • Experience with supporting workstations in a guest facing environment, supporting key encoders for hotel lock systems, and supporting interfaces with external vendors like Delphi and Site Minder.
