Job Description
Internal Only D2 Dealer Training Class. Open only to current Choctaw Nation Employees
This course is designed to generate proficient Table Games Dealers for the Durant Casino and Resort.
Job Purpose or Objective(s): Selected applicants will attend a course providing education and hands-on training to deal blackjack, poker-derivative games, roulette, baccarat and pai gow. Successful completion of course results in a job offer as a D2 Table Games Dealer.
Prior to class start, TG Training will evaluate each applicant via interview.
Applicants must maintain the following eligibility requirements for the entirety of the course:

Currently employed in good standing with CNO at Durant Casino & Resort

3 attendance points or less
-
No current Final Written Disciplines

Able pass screening for Key Gaming License

Must be able to attend training
-
Must be able to meet all employment requirements for the TG Department
This training course is voluntary. Training time is unpaid for Modules 1 & 2.
Pending successful completion of Module 2, Students will transfer to the D2 Dealer position. Any training time that occurs post-transfer will be paid $10/hr.
Average D2 Dealer Pay: $5/hour base + $40 to $50 average hourly toke (tip) rate
Performance Expectations:

Selected applicants will learn how to deal the games listed in each module.

Each applicant is required to successfully complete written and physical testing to complete the course.

Written and physical testing will occur throughout the course. Each student will have two attempts to pass each test.

Students must pass all testing in each module to proceed to the next module.

To maintain enrollment / employment, students are required to attend class, pass all written testing and physical testing and maintain all eligibility requirements.
Class Schedule:

Start Date: MON, 9-7-2026

Module 1 & 2 Class Times:

MON, TUE, WED, THU

8am to 12:00* or 1:00p-5pm*

Module 3 & 4 Class Times:

MON, TUE, WED, THU

8am to 4pm

Students will work on the gaming floor up to 2 days a week during Modules 3, and 4.

This schedule will take effect once all students have transferred.
Class Modules

Module 1: Roulette (Weeks 1 – 5)

Module 2: Blackjack (Weeks 6 – 9):
-
Including side bets and variants such as Free Bet Blackjack and Spanish 21

Students successfully completing Module 1 and 2 will be hired as D2 Dealers.

Module 3: Poker Derivative Games (Weeks 10 & 11)
-
“Carnival Games” such as Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em, 3-Card Poker, Let It Ride, Mississippi Stud, and High Card Flush

Module 4: Baccarat and Pai Gow (Weeks 12 & 13)
-
Including side bets and Commission and Commission-Free variants
-
Face Up Pai Gow (commission free variant) including side bets

After completion of course:

After successful completion of all modules, available dealer schedules will be assigned.

Once transferred, students must remain in good standing with the Table Games Department while attending class.

Applicants must attend every class.

Primary Tasks
- Review and communicate table game activities with supervisors and managers.
- Answer customer or public inquiries regarding general gaming procedures, payouts, etc.
- Clean work area as designated by management
- Verify identification of customers when needed.
- Sign and date all paperwork as required.
- Provide excellent customer service skills and communication skills.
- Other duties as may be assigned.
Job Requirements
- Experience in handling large volumes of cash preferred
- Apply basic math (arithmetic, ratios, proportions, or conversions)
- Apply oral or written communication techniques
- Must be highly customer focused and maintain a positive atmosphere and be friendly and informative as needed.
