Pay Rate: $18.00 Hourly

This is s temporary position that will serve the Broken Bow, Idabel, and Grant region. This position is remote (work from home.)

Job Purpose or Objective(s): Case Investigation/Contact Tracing is a core disease control measure that is a key strategy for preventing further spread of COVID-19. The Case investigator/Contact Tracer is responsible for reaching out to all associates who are positive or have come into “close contact” with a COVID-19 infected individual and providing them with information and guidance to interrupt ongoing transmission and reduce spread.

Primary Tasks:

  1. Communicate with CNO associates to obtain symptom information, refer contacts for testing, and provide instructions for self-quarantine.

  2. Quickly get in touch with contacts of diagnosed associates through text, e-mail, phone calls and other platforms when necessary.

  3. Provide contacts with approved information on quarantine procedures, what to do if symptoms develop and if appropriate, refer them for testing.

  4. Collaborate with a team made up of surveillance coordinators, investigators, and data managers to efficiently complete case investigations

  5. Systematically collect and record information in a local database.

  6. Communicate with your team and supervisor when contact cannot be made with an individual and understand the best way to address the problem.

  7. Able to prioritize activities when under tight deadlines and possesses analytical skills.

  8. Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

MINIMUM

  • Associates Degree

  • Ability to build and maintain trust with contacts being interviewed.

  • Resourcefulness in locating associates and contacts who may be difficult to reach and/or reluctant to engage in conversation

  • An understanding of associate confidentiality, including the ability to conduct interviews without violating confidentiality

  • Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software applications, especially Excel and Microsoft Word software

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, and attention to detail

  • Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with a wide range of persons

  • Excellent telephone and oral communication skills

  • Excellent and sensitive interpersonal, cultural sensitivity, and interviewing skills with experience conducting telephone-based or in-person interviews

  • Two (2) years prior experience in human resources or administrative related field preferred
