Para Transit Driver I Hugo

Description

Job Purpose or Objective(s): Responsible for transporting clients/patients to non-emergency medical care and providing other needed transportation services.

Primary Tasks:

  1. Transport patients to appropriate location and/or appointments.

  2. Organize data and instructions to coordinate with dispatcher to assure clients are transported to the appropriate location at the appropriate time.

  3. Maintain log of destinations and/or behavior of passengers.

  4. Enforce passenger safety and security by following CN transit safety standards, and per CNHSA policies.

  5. Secure wheelchairs and/or mobility devices by attaching to stabilization devices.

  6. Assist physically disabled passengers into and out of vehicle.

  7. Collect medications, supplies, equipment, and/or other items as directed by supervisor.

  8. Completes all drivers’ logs/checklists according to GSA & CNHSA guidelines on a daily basis.

  9. Maintain vehicle log book & scheduled maintenance of vehicle as needed; ensures cleanliness of vehicle at all times; takes to local service station.

  10. Other duties assigned within scope and competency of the associate.

Physical Requirements:

Heavy work involves lifting no more than 100 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds. If someone can do heavy work, we determine that he or she can also do medium, light, and sedentary work

MINIMUM

  • Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License

  • Acceptable driving record required (no serious traffic violations)

  • Maintains current CPR and First Aid certification or obtain CPR and Frist Aid certification within 30 days of hire.

  • Obey traffic laws; follow established traffic or transportation procedures.

  • Ability to operate a smart phone and/or GPS

  • Experience in driving both automatic and standard type transmission vehicles.

TARGET

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

  • Clear driving record(No traffic violations)

  • Extensive on the job experience in driving both automatic and standard type transmission vehicles.

  • Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License
