Behavioral Health Manager (Jones Academy)

Description

Job Purpose or Objective(s): Responsible for directing the day-to-day operations, managing and developing staff, assuring high quality care, maintaining a strong referral base and compliance with Joint Commission and CMS regulations while continually monitoring the facility's services and delivery systems. Drives clinical and operational excellence as it relates to all aspects of the behavioral health department as well as operationalizing new integrated behavioral health and medical service offerings.

Primary Tasks:

  1. Provide clinical direction, supervision and coordination as appropriate for professional and other treatment staff and consultants.

  2. Develop and implement behavioral health services delivery systems, policies and procedures appropriate to the populations served, and monitor administration to ensure compliance.

  3. Assess and determine clinical training needs of staff and develop, provide programs to address those needs.

  4. Develop and implements methodologies for the evaluation of programs and provides evaluation reports as required.

  5. Develop inter-agency policies and procedures and collaboration and integration of services.

  6. Coordinate service program activities with the services of other public, private, and tribal agencies as it relates to behavioral health care.

  7. Implement Quality Improvement Program initiatives, and goals.

  8. Serve on a variety of committees and task forces; attends meetings and makes presentations as required.

  9. Pursue funding opportunities and accountable for assigned contracts and cost center budgets including the completion of accurate and timely management and grants reports on program activities and outcomes.

  10. Serve as Co-Principal Investigator for all federal grant proposals.

  11. Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

MINIMUM

  • Master’s degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related field

  • Must possess strong organizational, management and leadership skills

  • 5 years’ experience in a range of specialized interventions and treatment modalities. This includes individual, group, and/or family counseling or psychotherapy, case management interventions, diagnostic assessment and related interventions with substance abuse and mental health disorders (co-occurring treatment)

TARGET

  • Master’s degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related field

  • Licensed Mental Health Professional (LPC, LCSW, LADC-MH, LMFT)

  • Must possess strong organizational, management and leadership skills

  • 7 years’ experience in a range of specialized interventions and treatment modalities. This includes individual, group, and/or family counseling or psychotherapy, case management interventions, diagnostic assessment and related interventions with substance abuse and mental health disorders (co-occurring treatment)
