Overnight Shift - Full Time - Grant Resort

Job Purpose or Objective(s): Observe all areas of Casino Operations utilizing the video management system with a specialized focus on Card and Table Game Protection. The Operator will maintain a comprehensive understanding of all card & table games offered at Choctaw Casinos and the applicable governing standards to ensure game play is protected. The Operator will compile timelines and various other reports detailing any deviations from standard game play. #LI-HG1

Primary Tasks:

  1. Perform daily audits on table and card games based on game performance by documenting guest buy-ins, length of play, win vs. loss, average bets, and skill level of the guest.

  2. Evaluate and determine if guest(s) are using basic strategy or a money management system and engaging in advantage or illegal play by monitoring live or recorded video.

  3. Employ training through various industry resources to remain current on all forms of cheating or the use of devices that could potentially compromise game play or provide player advantage.

  4. Remain current on all table games offered by Choctaw Casinos and Resorts, work with minimum direction and communicate essential information quickly and effectively to Surveillance Management.

  5. Actively assesses card and table game dealers in an effort to identify proper pace of the game and any procedure violations. Violations are documented and forwarded to the Game Protection Manager.

  6. Communicate to surveillance management any activities that are noteworthy, suspicious, or unusual.

  7. Maintain communication with Table Games Management that allows both departments to be proactive in identifying game changes, adjustments to the layout and the need for dealer retraining or necessary disciplinary action based on Game Protection Operator observations and issued violations.

  8. Monitor table game’s play, maintaining focus on procedural consistency and accuracy of monetary transfers between the dealer(s) and guest(s).

  9. Utilize the video management system to review or provide video and documentation to approved departments as requested; assist Security and Tribal Police with internal investigations relating to sensitive security issues; may testify in court when called upon as a representative of Choctaw Casinos.

  10. Other duties as may be assigned.

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

MINIMUM

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • General computer skills/keyboarding

  • Typing skills of 40 wpm

  • Exhibits strong interpersonal skills and multitasking ability

  • Knowledge & understanding of table games policies, procedures and game play

  • Ability to work nights and/or weekends

  • Two (2) years table games and/or surveillance experience

TARGET

  • Two (2) or more years of higher education

  • Extensive & proven, use of the Microsoft Office Suite and other casino software applications

  • Typing skills of 75 wpm or better

  • Possess the ability to perform assigned duties in an interruptive and fast paced environment while maintaining accuracy and a positive attitude

  • Proven track record of identifying various cheats, scams and alerting management of potential threats to Table/Card Games Department and/or Casino Operations

  • Ability to work any shift or schedule

  • Two (2) or more years of table games experience
