Food Beverage Shift Manager- Grant Cove Cafe and Bar

Description

Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Food & Beverage Shift Manager is responsible for managing operations in area of responsibility on assigned shift to ensure profitability, operating efficiency, and customer satisfaction, in accordance with established company standards, policies and procedures.

Pay Rate: $19.85 an hour | Full-Time | Evening Shift | Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday 3 PM - 11:30 PM | Friday 7 PM- 3:30 AM

Primary Tasks:

  1. Manage line staff in area of responsibility to deliver consistently great guest service, team work and camaraderie.

  2. Monitor associates for adherence to company and/or franchise standards and procedures.

  3. Schedule associates and ensure correct staffing levels and adjustments are made in accordance with guest needs while controlling labor costs to optimize profits.

  4. Participate in the recruitment, selection, recommendation for hire and training process for new associates.

  5. Monitor guest satisfaction through face-to-face contact with customers as needed.

  6. Resolve any customer complaints or problems according to standard conflict resolution protocol.

  7. Resolve associate and point of sale system issues.

  8. Maintain departmental qualitative and quantitative service standards as established in the department’s SOP.

  9. Direct the sanitation of all assigned areas.

  10. Other duties as assigned by management.

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

MINIMUM

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in hospitality or related field

  • Excellent attention to detail both in products, service and the appearance of all operating beverage outlets.

  • Knowledgeable in food and beverage cost control systems and methods.

  • Two (2) years’ experience as a bar supervisor, restaurant supervisor, or culinary supervisor.

TARGET

  • Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in culinary arts or hospitality management.

  • Excellent analytical skills enhancing the ability to understand the activity of the department.

  • Experienced in loss prevention and waste reduction management

  • Three (3) years front line operation management experience in a high volume beverage, restaurant, or culinary department
