Description

Job Purpose or Objective(s): Choctaw Casino & Resort is hiring a pre-opening General Manager, for our Sports Lounge; The League. This includes selection, development and performance of leaders and team members. This leader will coordinate the planning, organization, and training necessary to achieve the restaurant objectives at the highest service levels with guest experience. The League is Choctaw Casino & Resort – Durant Location brand new Sports Lounge projected to open in July 2020. The League will emphasis on casual dining, and large draft beer selection to the Southern Oklahoma Region.

Primary Tasks:

  1. Monitor work to ensure adherence to Choctaw Casino & Resort policies and procedures.

  2. Direct operations, including hiring, training, scheduling, coaching and counseling, auditing/inspecting work.

  3. Provide input and ideas in wine pairings and creating menu items, design and concept that meet the needs of our guests while achieving budget goals.

  4. Oversee programs and processes to ensure compliance, identify efficiencies, and to reduce labor/costs in all areas of responsibility.

  5. Ownership for ensuring all financial and payroll related duties are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

  6. Interact positively with all external and internal guests promoting the hotel and gaming faculties while development loyal customers.

  7. Respond to client requests to ensure alignment with company standards; investigate and follow through on client and guest complaints in order to maintain positive client and guest relations.

  8. Manage shifts daily | weekly which may include daily decision making, scheduling planning while upholding standards, and cleanliness.

  9. Recommend and establish pricing and portions for products and services within approved profit and plan guidelines as well as manage operating expenses and labor costs.

  10. Perform other duties as may be assigned

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

MINIMUM

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Restaurant, Foodservice or related field

  • ServSafe Certification

  • Very knowledgeable in all types of wines from all over the world

  • Highly organized, detailed oriented, and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities

  • Open Table Knowledge

  • Strong computer skills Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and Windows XP, including CCT operation.

  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong leadership

  • Knowledge of government health, hotel, or food service regulations.

  • Proficient in operational financial management accountability and budgeting

  • Five (5) years progressive management experience in a fine dining operation

TARGET

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Restaurant, Foodservice or related field

  • ServSafe Certification

  • Extremely organized, detail oriented, and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities

  • Excellent computer skills Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and Windows XP, including CCT operation.

  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

  • Excellent POS operational experience

  • Expert knowledge of government health, hotel, or food service regulations

  • Expert in operational financial management accountability and budgeting

  • Wine Knowledge

  • Seven (7) years progressive management experience
