Technical Support Engineer II (Judicial)

Description

Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Technical Support Engineer’s role is to provide high-level support for Judicial Branch technology-based operations so that our end users can accomplish organizational goals more efficiently. This includes configuring Judicial Branch technology-supported tools within the organization and assessing known problems to provide long-term solutions to increase the effectiveness of our support teams.

Primary Tasks:

  1. Performs various functions including, but not limited to, troubleshooting “all” technologies in an office environment, including desktop, portable, remote devices, and all peripheral devices.

  2. Develop and maintain all Judicial Branch technology solutions as required.

  3. Develop and maintain knowledge bases and FAQ resources, then publish to Choctaw Nation ITSM tool(s) to aid in problem resolution.

  4. Provide leadership and support to Technical Support Specialists to help them serve the Judicial Branch End-User community more proficiently.

  5. Modify configurations and utilities to maintain software/application settings for Judicial Branch programs.

  6. Tier II Support for Judicial Branch service programs and applications.

  7. Create, test, and deploy software packages through the ITSM tools, Sandbox, and Change Control processes

  8. Develop packages for deploying applications, patches, and updates to the Choctaw Nation Judicial Branch application programs.

  9. Defacto point of contact for all support-related requests for the Judicial Branch.

  10. Other duties may be assigned by management.

Required Education, Skills, and Experience:

MINIMUM

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, criminal justice, or equivalent working experience.

  • Experience in Windows, Linux, and virtualized environments.

  • Experience with Judicial Systems and operations.

  • Experience with courtroom technology solutions.

  • Experience with digital platforms for video and audio capturing.

  • Experience with supporting remote solutions for the court staff.

  • Experience with SharePoint and collaboration platforms.

  • Experience with third-party peripherals

  • This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Six years of related work experience.

TARGET

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, criminal justice, or equivalent working experience.

  • Advanced experience in Windows, Linux, and virtualized environments

  • Advanced experience with Judicial Systems and operations.

  • Advanced experience with courtroom technology solutions.

  • Advanced experience with digital platforms for video and audio capturing.

  • Experience with CMS, probation, supervision, and ticketing applications.

  • Advanced abilities to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

  • Eight years of related work experience.
