Technical Support Engineer II (Children & Family Services)

Description

Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Technical Support Engineer’s role is to provide high-level support for Children & Family Services technology-based operations so that our end users can accomplish organizational goals more efficiently. This includes configuring CFS technology-supported tools within the organization and assessing known problems to provide long-term solutions to increase the effectiveness of our support teams.

Primary Tasks:

  1. Performs various IT functions including, but not limited to, troubleshooting all technologies in an office environment including desktop, laptop, mobile, and peripherals.

  2. Develop and maintain knowledge bases and FAQ resources, published to Choctaw Nation ITSM tool(s) or Microsoft SharePoint to aid in problem resolution.

  3. Maintain configurations and utilities that support CFS applications, such as Tribal Assistance System (TAS) by Eaglesun Systems, Inc.

  4. Develop and provide tier II technical support for CFS service programs and applications.

  5. Audit the data integrity of CFS service programs and applications while maintaining organization confidentiality requirements.

  6. Act as subject matter expert on case management, report creation, and document storage within the department.

  7. Analyze operating environments, advise management on best uses of technology, and manage the support relationship between the technology vendors and CFS.

  8. Evaluate new and emerging technology as they relate to the department and demonstrate the capabilities as necessary.

  9. Serve as the de facto point of contact for all IT support related requests for CFS.

  10. Other duties may be assigned by management.

Required Education, Skills, and Experience:

MINIMUM

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent working experience.

  • Experience in Windows, Linux, and virtualized environments.

  • Experience with case management solutions.

  • Experience with business automation through technology.

  • Experience supporting remote workers and their technology solutions.

  • Experience with Microsoft Teams, Microsoft SharePoint, and other collaboration platforms.

  • Experience supporting 3 rd third-party peripherals.

  • This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Four years of related work experience.

TARGET

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent working experience.

  • 3 years’ experience in Windows, Linux, and virtualized environments

  • 1 years’ experience with case management solutions.

  • 2 years’ experience with business automation through technology.

  • Experience supporting 75 remote workers and their technology solutions.

  • 3 years’ experience supporting Microsoft Teams, Microsoft SharePoint, and other collaboration platforms.

  • Advanced abilities to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

  • Six years of related work experience.
