Technical Support Engineer 3 - Commerce

Description

Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Technical Support Engineer’s role is to provide high level support for all Gaming operations so that our end users can accomplish organizational goals more efficiently. This includes configuring IT applications and support tools used within the organization and assessing known problems to provide long term solutions to increase effectiveness of our support teams. The position will also be responsible for mentoring others on support issues and working towards multi-year roadmap efforts.

Primary Tasks:

  1. Deploy applications, patches, and updates to the Choctaw Nation Gaming environments

  2. Maintain and deploy Gaming hardware and software as required, this will require servicing hardware in the field occasionally.

  3. Troubleshoot production support issues post-deployment.

  4. Provide support to key Business Units to help them serve the End-User community more proficiently.

  5. Modify configurations, utilities, and software default settings for multiple Gaming systems, with an emphasis on Aristocrat Oasis, Bravo, and compliance platforms.

  6. Create, test, and deploy software packages utilizing manual or scripted processes.

  7. Other duties as may be assigned by management.

  8. Must be able to be licensed with the Choctaw Gaming Commission

  9. Maintain knowledge bases and FAQ resources in a shared environment to aid in problem resolution.

  10. Prior experience supporting Title 31 compliance under the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network.

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

MINIMUM

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent working experience

  • Experience in Windows, Linux, MS_SQL and virtualization environments such as VMWare

  • Advanced experience in Gaming systems, including Oasis, Bravo and CCT or similar platforms

  • Experience supporting Gaming systems across multiple Gaming properties

  • Experience in automating maintenance, troubleshooting and remediation of service and systems failures

  • Ability to troubleshoot Packaging, Deployment, and System issues.

  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environment

  • 6 years related work experience

TARGET

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent working experience

  • Advanced experience in Windows, Linux, MS-SQL and virtualization environments such as VMWare

  • Advanced experience in Gaming systems, including Oasis, Bravo and CCT or similar platforms

  • Advanced experience supporting Gaming systems across multiple Gaming properties

  • Significant experience in automating maintenance, troubleshooting and remediation of service and systems failures

  • Ability teach others how to troubleshoot Packaging, Deployment, and System issues.

  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environment

  • 10 years related work experience
