Technical Support Engineer 2 (Retail)
Description
Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Technical Support Engineer’s role is to provide high level support for all Retail and Food and Beverage operations so that our end users can accomplish organizational goals more efficiently. This includes configuring IT support tools used within the organization and assessing known problems to provide long term solutions to increase effectiveness of our support teams.
Primary Tasks:
Deploy applications, patches, and updates to the Choctaw Nation POS and Hospitality environments.
Maintain and deploy POS hardware and software as required, this will require servicing hardware in the field occasionally.
Maintain knowledge bases and FAQ resources on the file server to aid in problem resolution.
Troubleshoot production support issues post-deployment.
Provide support to key Business Units to help them serve the End-User community more proficiently.
Modify configurations, utilities, and software default settings for multiple POS and Hospitality systems including Infogenesis, Radiant and LMS.
Create, test, and deploy software packages utilizing manual or scripted processes.
Other duties as may be assigned by management.
Required Education, Skills and Experience:
MINIMUM
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent working experience
Experience in Windows, Linux, and virtualization environments such as VMWare
Experience in POS systems, including Radiant and Infogenesis
Experience deploying and maintaining PSPE pinpads and operating in a PCI compliant environment
Experience creating custom scripts to drive installs, uninstalls, custom actions and system management
Ability to troubleshoot Packaging, Deployment, and System issues.
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environment
6 years related work experience
TARGET
