Technical Support Engineer 2 (Membership Services)

Description

Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Technical Support Engineer’s role is to provide high level support for all application-based operations so that our end users can accomplish organizational goals more efficiently. This includes configuring IT support tools used within the organization and assessing known problems to provide long term solutions to increase effectiveness of our support teams.

Primary Tasks:

  1. Develop packages for deployment of applications, patches, and updates to the Choctaw Nation Tribal Services programs.

  2. Develop and maintain scripts to supplement packaging and other support tools as required.

  3. Develop and maintain knowledge bases and FAQ resources on the file server to aid in problem resolution.

  4. Troubleshoot production support issues, pre / post-deployment, and recommend solutions as needed.

  5. Provide leadership and support to Technical Support Specialists to help them serve the End-User community more proficiently.

  6. Modify configurations, utilities, and maintain software / application settings for Tribal Services programs.

  7. Tier II Support for Tribal Services programs and applications.

  8. Create, test, and deploy software packages through the ITSM tools, Sandbox and Change Control processes.

  9. Other duties as may be assigned by management.

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

MINIMUM

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent working experience.

  • Experience in Windows, Linux, and virtualized environments

  • Experiences with Voter Applications, Membership Applications, Case Management Applications, Document storage, and other tribal applications.

  • Experience creating custom scripts to drive installs, uninstalls, custom actions and system management.

  • Ability to troubleshoot complex problems and escalate / route to closure

  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environment

  • 6 years related work experience

TARGET

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent working experience.

  • Advanced experience in Windows, Linux, and virtualization environments.

  • Experience with desktop and server operating systems.

  • Experience with TribeVue, ACRS, AlphaCard, CRM, HelpSystems, and Laserfiche.

  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environment

  • Experience with MS Teams, SharePoint, WebEx, and Zoom.

  • 8 years related work experience
