Technical Delivery Manager

Description

Job Purpose or Objective(s): Leads and manages the technical activities of a Data Management team involved in development, design, and optimization of Data Integration ETL Interfaces, Analytics, Data warehousing oriented platforms. Establishes standards, guidelines, and quality assurance for data deliverables. Participates in database architecture including conceptual, logical, and physical database design, capacity planning, external data interface specification, data loading plan, data maintenance plan and security policy.

Primary Tasks:

  1. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action and escalates to manager as needed

  2. Builds productive internal/external working relationships.

  3. Lead the Root cause analysis and coordinate with the teams responsible to apply the fixes

  4. Understand and Drive Change Request Process and Release Management Process for critical incident fixes and change requests.

  5. Must have excellent presentation skills to justify technical design decision to design review committee and senior leadership

  6. Formulates and monitors data architecture policies, procedures, and standards.

  7. Designs, implements and owns database logical and physical models and standards

  8. Ensure availability, reliability, efficiency and performance continuity against established metrics and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

  9. Maintains employee/team readiness by completing all required training and/or certifications.

  10. Performs other duties as may be assigned.

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

MINIMUM

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems, computer science or related field required

  • 3-5 years of experience leading team of data engineers, analysts and architects

  • 7 years exposure to database conceptual design, logical data modeling and capacity planning.

  • 7 years hands-on experience developing internal and external data interfaces and data loading plans.

  • 4-6 years of experience converting business requirements into database design and ETL loading plans.

  • Must have knowledge of SQL Server architecture and implementation patterns

  • Must have expertise in data modeling, integration, and design techniques

  • Must have ETL development experience (SSIS, Informatica)

  • Must have experience in creating high level and detailed design documents

  • Experience working with multiple data modeling tools

  • Working knowledge of Data Governance concepts

TARGET

  • Master’s degree in computer information systems, computer science or related field

  • 6-10 years of experience leading team of data engineers, analysts and architects

  • Professional ETL or data modeling focused Certifications

  • 4 years of experience implementing Data Governance solutions

  • Experience with managing multiple Service Requests and competing priorities

  • 8 years exposure to database conceptual design, logical data modeling and capacity planning.

  • 7 years hands-on experience developing internal and external data interfaces and data loading plans.

  • 3-5 years of experience with defining and managing data security policies

  • 7 years of experience converting business requirements into data, database specifications and loading plans.

  • 10 years of data migration experience
