Senior Business Analyst

Description

Job Purpose or Objective(s): Provide full cycle management of internal and external business opportunities including the identification, development, review, analysis, due diligence, business planning, capital funding, and final integration into Choctaw Nation.

Primary Tasks:

  1. Collaborate with Senior Leadership and external advisors to elaborate and conduct financial and risk analysis of business opportunities to develop business cases.

  2. Analyze, identify, and prioritize complex and competing business requirements across business functions.

  3. Conduct competitor and market research on current and prospective businesses in areas such as value chains, market size, market growth, market share, relative profit margins, distribution strength, and production capacity.

  4. Conduct internal analysis to identify, recommend, negotiate, structure, and obtain internal approvals for potential business opportunities.

  5. Define, collect and maintain key metrics and databases that measure business portfolio performance and business development opportunities.

  6. Provide oversight and support in the delivery of business analysis activities across the portfolio of projects.

  7. Develop core models, (financial, valuation, etc., relevant to business development opportunities and perform complex financial projections and business valuation.

  8. Prepare presentations, proposals, and business plans in connection with business development opportunities.

  9. Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

MINIMUM

  • Bachelor's degree in related field such as management science, finance, accounting, business, economics or quantitative field

  • Hands on proficiency with key software programs including Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint) and the potential to use advanced decision support analytic tools

  • Strong analytical, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively on multiple projects simultaneously

  • Working knowledge of overall business operations

  • Excellent commercial and financial acumen and attention to detail

  • Ensure confidentiality of all business development opportunities, documentation, and information

  • Eight (8) years in Sr. Business Development, Sr. Accounting, or Sr. Financial roles, such as Controller or Sr. Analyst

TARGET

  • MBA in related field such as management science, finance, accounting, business, economics or quantitative field

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

  • Hands on proficiency with key software programs including Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint) and the potential to use advanced decision support analytic tools

  • Strong analytical, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively on multiple projects simultaneously

  • Working knowledge of overall business operations

  • Advanced commercial and financial acumen and attention to detail

  • Ensure confidentiality of all business development opportunities, documentation, and information

  • Eight plus (8 ) years in Sr. Business Development, Sr. Accounting, or Sr. Financial roles, such as Controller or Sr. Analyst
