Senior Business Analyst

Description

Job Purpose or Objective(s): Work closely with assigned business and program management to present findings and review additional areas of opportunity for increased performance or efficiency potential.

Primary Tasks:

  1. Provide weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual and ad hoc consolidated reporting on key metrics to health system management.

  2. Execute outcome and KPI reporting for assigned areas.

  3. Compile and review monthly reporting packages for each assigned area, identify areas that need further investigation prior to distribution, and communicate findings to appropriate organization personnel.

  4. Oversee the development of ad hoc analysis tools for department heads and managers to evaluate performance, compare actual results to forecasts and provide trend analysis.

  5. Identify and research trends that require further review and analysis.

  6. Meet regularly with assigned business and program management to review results and identify additional opportunities for analysis.

  7. Ensure end users have a solid understanding of information available to them for review.

  8. Review work generated by Business Analysts to ensure accuracy and proper interpretation of data.

  9. Develop and implement population health reporting platform.

  10. Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

MINIMUM

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or health related field

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills including, higher level functions in EXCEL such as Pivot Tables, sumifs, Nested formulas, V/H lookups, Macros, Graphing, etc., Word, and PowerPoint

  • Ability to maintain organization, meet deadlines, possesses integrity, confidentiality, and discretion in handling confidential information

  • Exceptional language skills including: excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals

  • Four (4) years’ experience planning and analysis in assigned discipline

TARGET

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or health related field

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills including, higher level functions in EXCEL such as Pivot Tables, sumifs, Nested formulas, V/H lookups, Macros, Graphing, etc., Word, and PowerPoint

  • Experience with computer report writing and/or database inquiry software such as SQL or equivalent.

  • Experience building, developing and maintaining data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics that support key program decisions.

  • Ability to maintain organization, meet deadlines, possesses integrity, confidentiality, and discretion in handling confidential information

  • Exceptional language skills including: excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Five (5) years’ experience planning and analysis in assigned discipline
