Revenue Auditor Durant Resort Audit


Job Purpose or Objective(s): Under the direction of the Choctaw Revenue Audit Supervisor, the Revenue Auditor is responsible for reviewing, reconciling and auditing daily shift paperwork through utilization of the cash transaction management system. Auditors shall complete audits in a thorough, timely fashion.

Start Pay: $19.30/hour

Shift: Thursday - Monday, 8:00a-4:30pm

Primary Tasks :

  1. Uses the cash transaction management system to conduct their daily tasks.

  2. Reviews and reconciles daily shift paperwork prepared by all revenue centers and ensures accurate posting of daily revenue reports.

  3. Audits daily shift paperwork for MICS/TICS/SICS and SOP compliance and issues exception reports in accordance with the established Risk Matrix.

  4. Proactively communicates with the Revenue Audit supervisor regarding recurring exceptions identified within their area of responsibility and takes ownership for ensuring issues are resolved.

  5. Completes audit testing activities within 24 hours of the timeframe to be audited.

  6. Monitors and investigates cashier variances, issues reports to HR for payroll deduction for unresolved variances.

  7. Remains current on all MICS/TICS/SICS and SOP requirements and revisions of their assigned area(s) to effectively execute their audit responsibilities.

  8. Must have ability to communicate professionally (orally and in writing) with the casino staff and co-workers.

  9. Must have a thorough understanding of potential fraud and the ability to identify areas of risk.

  10. Other duties as assigned.

Required Education, Skills and Experience:


  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Must act with discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive materials.

  • Working knowledge of PC and experience with Windows, Excel, Access, Word and other Choctaw Casino operating programs

  • Knowledge of Ten-Key

  • Must have the ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner with peers and management.

  • Prior experience in the gaming industry.


  • High school diploma.

  • Knowledge of gaming regulations such as; National Indian Gaming Commission, Minimum Internal Controls (NIGC, MICS), Tribal Internal Controls, Choctaw Casino Departmental Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) Policy and Procedures, and Bank Secrecy Act/Chapter X Compliance Program.

  • Extremely proficient with Windows, Excel, Access, Word and other Choctaw Casino operating programs

  • Ten-Key proficiency (by touch)

  • Excellent oral and written communication techniques and presentation skills

  • One (1) to two (2) years prior experience in accounting, auditing or compliance.
