Description

Job Purpose or Objective(s): Act as a liaison during the life of the project between the project director, external funding agencies, and internal departments to ensure all terms and conditions of the award are met.

Primary Tasks:

  1. Process post-award programmatic documents, ensuring appropriate internal processes are followed and all documents and information are processed and submitted by the deadline.

  2. Facilitate the post-award meeting to identify roles and responsibilities of all programmatic activities during the award life cycle.

  3. Compile post-award programmatic requirements to ensure objectives are completed according to the project timelines.

  4. Act as liaison between CN and external funding agencies during on-site agency reviews.

  5. Perform self-monitoring assessments to ensure adherence to the project’s regulations and applicable guidelines and create a plan of action to correct any findings.

  6. Maintain a log of all activities, including outcomes, focus areas and follow-up deadlines.

  7. Prepare weekly and monthly activity reports and submit in a timely manner.

  8. Identify education and training needs for project directors and grant staff for grant funded programs. Work with programs to facilitate the training if needed.

  9. Work with accounting and program directors, as needed, to coordinate data sharing and data collection.

  10. Perform all other duties as may be assigned.

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

MINIMUM

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field

  • Skilled user in Microsoft Office

  • Knowledge of performance management tools.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Capable of managing multiple, high priority assignments simultaneously with minimal supervision

  • Two years of directly related experience preferably in project management, tribal government, grants, grant compliance and/or federal regulations

TARGET

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
