Free Dealer School

We are offering you the opportunity to attend our dealer school at NO COST to you. (This is a free training; no compensation will be given for attending as training does not constitute employment.) Upon completion of the dealer training school you must pass a live audition to be eligible for employment with Choctaw Casinos. Once you have passed you need to give your current manager a two weeks’ notice and complete your two weeks before transferring.

You Must Be

  1. At least 18 years of age

  2. Able to apply basic written and oral math skills

  3. Highly guest focused

  4. Maintain a positive attitude

  5. Pass a criminal background check

  6. Pass a pre-employment drug test.

Job Title: Table Games Dealer

Reports To: Table Games Manager, Assistant Table Games Manager, Table Games Shift Manager, Table Games Floor Supervisor

Job Summary: Deals poker, accepts bets, pays winners, and collects from non-winners. Handles player transactions, notifies pit supervisor of any irregularities or disputes that may arise during the game. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. The Poker Dealer must be highly customer focused and maintain a positive atmosphere; be friendly and informative as needed. Poker Dealers must learn how to interact with different customers.

Essential Functions:

  • Deals poker while answering customer or public inquiries regarding general gaming procedures, payouts, etc.

  • Verify identification of customers when needed.

  • Work in assigned areas.

  • Accurate use of computers to enter, access, or retrieve data.

  • Keep accurate records of monetary exchanges, authorization forms, and transaction reconciliations.

  • Maintain security according to rules.

  • Notify Supervisor immediately and discretely of suspicious activity.

  • All shortages are the responsibility of the Dealer and must be paid back to the Casino.

  • Other duties as may be assigned.

Requirements (Education, Experience):

  • A High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Experience in handling large volumes of cash preferred.

  • Prior experience in direct customer contact preferred.

  • Apply basic math (arithmetic, ratios, proportions or conversions).

  • Apply oral or written communication techniques.

  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures regarding all table games.

  • Must be highly customer focused and maintain a positive atmosphere and be friendly and informative as needed.
