Description

Job Purpose or Objective (s) : Supports all Network VoIP/Cisco Unified Communications Manager/Cisco Unity Connection/Cisco Unified Contact Center/ WebExby designing, implementing, and troubleshooting needed data connectivity. The NetworkVoice Collaboration Engineering IVwill work withother Network Engineers, Network System Administrators, and 3rd party vendors;stay up to date on new solutions and recommend ways that can better support CNO.

Primary Tasks:

  • Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Some barriers to entry exist at this level (e.g., dept/peer review).

  • Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise.

  • Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel (Team Lead).

  • Communicates effectively inside the organization. Aligns complex projects and work in order to achieve departmental goals. Can articulate complex operational challenges in an understandable way to an audience unfamiliar with departmental concepts.

  • Extensive ability to influence external departments and a wide range of issues pertaining to departmental function (IT). Knowledge of building coalitions of diverse teams aligned with impacting organizational goals. Viewed as a subject matter expert

  • expert network troubleshooter covering Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Unity Connection, & Cisco Unified Contact Center solution, and voice Routers. Using trace routes, packet captures and any other tool to resolve network voice connectivity problems.

  • Expert ability to design and implement networkvoicesolutions with no oversight from concept to installation with all documentation.

  • Expert understanding of all voice IP connectivity and routing protocols.

  • Expert understanding and ability to work with WAN carriers in the design, support, and ordering of carrier solutions (SIP, PRI, 1FB, other circuit types

  • Performs other duties as may be assigned.
