National Sales Manager Hotel Sales

Description

Job Purpose or Objective(s): The National Sales Manager focuses on building long-term, value-based relationships with customers; maximize hotel/conference usage and generate revenue from corporate and social events in order to meet sales objectives.

Primary Tasks:

  1. Book group business to include guest rooms, conference space, and other casino amenities in assigned territory.

  2. Evaluate market/economic trends and introduce appropriate changes in strategy to meet or exceed personal sales goals.

  3. Identify and solicit new business for property through networking with local business and community agencies.

  4. Participate in tradeshows within the hotel and trade related organizations, and showcase the property to prospective clients.

  5. Conduct sales calls, build rapport and maintain existing business relationships in order to acquire new business.

  6. Maintain accounts, contacts, activity, and business details within the appropriate software applications.

  7. Negotiate pricing for efficient and effective cost controls.

  8. Collaborate with conference services and the front office to ensure all details of the contract were delivered.

  9. Prepare and present weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports and plans of current and projected sales, to Director of Sales as required, to ensure the achievement of the sales objectives.

  10. Perform other duties as may be assigned

MINIMUM

  • Bachelor Degree in business, hospitality, marketing or related field

  • Excellent oral and written communication techniques

  • Strong computer skills

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point

  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services

  • Ability to assess customer needs assessment and meet quality standards for services and customer satisfaction

  • Three years prior experience in hotel, sales or event center operations
