Description
Job Summary: You will complete trouble shooting, repairs and preventative maintenance on all types of plumbing, mechanical and industrial equipment. You will report to the Facilities Manager II.
Primary Tasks:
You will assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems, according to specifications and plumbing codes.
You will install, repair and maintain chilled water, steam, heat, water, gas, drainage, sewage, pumps, drinking fountains and other plumbing systems.
You will trouble shoot plumbing problems and perform general maintenance and repairs for all boilers, hot water tanks, steamers, heaters and related items.
You will operate reamers, threading discs, sewer tapes, pipe cutters, snakes and other plumbing equipment and hand tools.
You will inspect joints, valves, pumps, boilers, heaters, sinks, commodes, tanks, valves and other plumbing system components to locate malfunctions and repairs, replaces and unstops clogs.
You will study plans, drawings, specifications and work orders to determine work requirements and sequence of repairs and installations.
You will plan, coordinate and complete work using staff, and outside contractors, new installations including alterations and modifications to existing infrastructure.
You will inspect the work of outside contractors on behalf of Choctaw Nation.
You will winterize facilities.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
Journeyman Plumbing License
Perform complex responsibilities of a more specialized nature, frequently requiring independent analysis and decision-making.
Understand mechanical and equipment drawings.
Present information either orally or in writing to other employees, supervisors, engineering personnel, and client representatives
5 years of commercial plumbing experience working with piping up to 10"
