Journeyman Electrician 2 - Durant

Description

Work location options for this position are: Durant, Talihina, or Hugo

This position will be part of a facilities maintenance team and act as the subject matter expert on all electrical system tasks.

  1. Serve as the lead person on all electrical issues to include but not limited to installation, operation, repair, and maintenance of all electrical systems.

  2. Lead, train, guide and provide technical assistance to all members of the team.

  3. Ensure all electrical tasks and systems meet current building code.

  4. Review procurement documents and assist in the contracting of third-party electrical vendors.

  5. Provide cost estimates for all electrical projects.

  6. Ensure construction documentation, schematics, panel schedules and other critical records are correct and maintained.

  7. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, detect and replace defective control modules.

  8. Act as Project Manager on electrical upgrades and replacement projects.

  9. Utilize the CMMS to create, update and complete work orders.

  10. Other duties as may be assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • Electrical Journeyman License High School Diploma

  • 5-7 years working as part of a construction / maintenance team

  • Working knowledge of local, state and the National Electric Code (NEC).

  • Exhibits skills in providing excellent customer service Ability to effectively present information either orally or in writing to other employees, supervisors, engineering personnel, and client representatives

  • Must be well organized and detail oriented, while applying sound judgment and decision-making skills to both routine and non-routine issues that arise

Target Requirements

  • Electrical Journeyman License ABC, IBEW or equivalent training

  • 7-10 years working on a construction / maintenance team.

  • Ability to work independently to perform complex duties of a more specialized nature, frequently requiring independent analysis and decision-making.

  • Ability to read and understand mechanical and equipment drawings.

  • Experience developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures and other administrative policies Experience with low voltage control wiring
