IT Project Coordinator

Description

Job Purpose or Objective(s): The IT Project Coordinator plays a key role in helping achieve project objectives and in supporting the overall mission of the IT Department by providing support to a range of IT projects, Project Managers, and the Project Management Office.

Primary Tasks:

  1. Assists the Project Management Office in development of project reports, presentations, and administers PMO SharePoint sites.

  2. Draft and maintain updates of project documents, including status summaries, project plans, project schedules, action and issues logs, roles and responsibilities matrix, etc.

  3. Schedule and coordinate meetings, conference calls, conference rooms, etc. for project activities.

  4. Assist in developing project plans, deliverables, milestones, project tracking, and document control activities.

  5. Assist in determining project resource availability, resource allocation, and identifying resource contention issues.

  6. Participate in project budget administration, including analysis, cost reconciliation, and the tracking of project expenses as well as oversee sourcing, purchase orders, and contract.

  7. Perform project schedule analysis to highlight potential schedule problems or risks that may affect project delivery.

  8. Prepare and review project related correspondences including emails, memos, meeting minutes and other project related documents.

  9. Performs other duties as may be assigned.

MINIMUM

  • High School Diploma

  • Ability to interact professionally with staff, management, and IT personnel

  • Above average meeting facilitation, presentation, verbal and written skills

  • Experience in the use of the MS Office suite including Visio, and SharePoint

  • Minimum of two years experience working in an IT team environment

TARGET

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems or relevant business discipline

  • Ability to interact professionally with staff, management, and IT personnel

  • Expert in meeting facilitation, presentation, verbal and written skills

  • Proficient in the use of the MS Office suite including Visio, and SharePoint

  • Minimum of one year experience working in an IT team environment
