IT Director of Change Management

Description

Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Director of Change Management is responsible for leading all change management activities for all IT initiatives. This position is an integral part of IT through developing value driven adoption and change practices. Focusing on the people side of change, this position must demonstrate a mastery of change management principles.  

Primary Tasks:

  1. Lead a team of Change Specialists to drive the people side of change. 

  2. Define the change management methodology for the organization. 

  3. Manage strategies and detailed plans to ensure a cohesive approach is applied to all change management initiatives. 

  4. Build coalitions with stakeholders in effort to obtain awareness, understanding, buy-in, and support. 

  5. Validate comprehensive end-user training strategies and plans. 

  6. Oversee comprehensive project communications to executives, middle managers, and end-users. 

  7. Assess the timing of major changes and make recommendations to leadership regarding change readiness. 

  8. Develop strategies to mitigate change resistance where necessary and avoid change fatigue. 

  9. Oversee change management tools and ensure consistent utilization of the tools. 

  10. Perform other duties as may be assigned. 

MINIMUM

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field 

  • Proficient in communications, training and support, and employee engagement 

  • Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization 

  • Strong project planning, organizing, communication, team motivation and delegation skills 

  • Strong consulting skills with the ability to influence others 

  • PROSCI Change Management Certification

  • ITIL foundations training

  • Five (5) years’ experience in Change Management 

TARGET

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration or related field 

  • Expert in communications, training and support, and employee engagement

  • Past experience working with employees at all levels 

  • Expert project planning, organizing, communication, team motivation and delegation skills 

  • Expert consulting skills with the ability to influence others 

  • PROSCI Change Management Certification and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Project Management Professional Certification 

  • ITIL foundations certification

  • Ten (10) years’ experience in Change Management
