Information Systems Engineer 3 (O365)

Description

Job Purpose or Objective(s): Designs and administers O365 systems, and recommends improvements necessary to ensure operation of Choctaw Nation O365 environment. Performing IT functions such as design, analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging and implementation of applications programs supporting the company infrastructure business processes. May contribute to the development, testing, evaluation or design of system or infrastructure architecture used throughout the IT solution set.

Primary Tasks:

  1. Responsible and accountable for the stability of the Microsoft Office 365 Suite environment

  2. Provides advanced reporting focusing on the health and performance of the environment including policy adherence

  3. Leads projects and is expected to solve problems working across departments

  4. Develops or assists in the development of IT policy

  5. Coordinates system design and maintenance with leadership from IT and strategic business partners

  6. Defines overall O365 strategy and policy within the Choctaw Nation organizations

  7. Design and implementation of Microsoft Office 365 Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery planning

  8. Provide advanced troubleshooting assistance for Microsoft Office 365 issues

  9. Other duties as assigned

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

MINIMUM

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field

  • Superb spoken and written communications skills

  • Effective customer service skills

  • Ability to perform complex tasks using independent judgment and critical thinking

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Azure and O365 system technologies

  • Microsoft MCSA, or greater certification or equivalent experience

  • Must be comfortable working in an accountable and deadline-oriented environment and maintain flexible working hours

  • 5 years’ experience designing and managing mission critical virtual infrastructure based on best practices

TARGET

  • Master’s degree in computer science or related field

  • Superb spoken and written communications skills

  • Effective customer service skills

  • Ability to perform complex tasks using independent judgment and critical thinking

  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Azure and O365 system technologies

  • Microsoft MCSE, or greater certification or equivalent experience

  • Must be comfortable working in an accountable and deadline-oriented environment and maintain flexible working hours

  • 8 years’ experience designing and managing mission critical virtual infrastructure based on best practices.
